At day-dream, we imagine and shape quiet dreams
that lie hidden in everyday life—
those gentle thoughts of “what if life could feel like this.”
We are an architecture and interior design studio
that brings such visions to life.
Not flashy, but comfortable, soft, and refined.
Not loud, but quietly luxurious with a sense of elegance.
Compact, yet open and filled with the presence of nature.
This is our vision of micro luxury—
effortless, understated quality.

tsutsui hideaki creative director / architect / ceo

I was born in Kobe and have over 30 years of experience in architectural and spatial design.
During my student years and late twenties, I was deeply influenced by the works of Shiro Kuramata,
Takashi Sugimoto, and Tadao Ando. My design philosophy is rooted in Kobe’s rich cultural diversity and
its unique natural setting, where the mountains meet the sea.
In my previous role, I designed a wide range of commercial spaces, including apparel shops, cafés,
restaurants, offices, hotels, villas, and glamping facilities.
Currently, I focus on architectural design that embraces themes such as saunas and harmony with nature,
producing wellness facilities and hotels across Japan.
In recent years, I have participated in research and concept tours in Finland, exploring sauna culture and
deepening my commitment to the “aesthetics of subtraction” and creating spaces that promote well-being.
Through my work in architecture and spatial design, I strive to create spaces that deliver comfort,
meaningful value, and a strong sense of community.
